| More specifically for the PC.
I have a pc for work and I use firefox for some of what I do. I decided to download and try out version 3.0. I have to say the results were less then positive. While there's some good things there, the application was a pig. My computer would frequently just sit there with the cpu stuck at 100% and the hard drive was going crazy. I close the browser and everything would return to normal. I tried using it for a while but it was killing my computer.
Hopefully 3.1 will be better but I'll have to go back to the prior version.
Anyone else have similar experiences?

| It crashes now and then similar to the beta which is something many have reported.
It will also take a while to load images on some pages, even when the images are the same image (if that makes any sense). I can't go to another tab until that page is all loaded. I wonder if there were some tweaks I did in previous versions that need to be removed.
I assume the memory leaks have been improved upon but haven't tested this.
I wonder if they rushed this one.

| Oh yeah, I need to update. I just don't want to have to reconfigure everything again. | |

Nope. FF3 is working perfectly on my computer here at home and at work. I'm as happy as a clam in sand...

| Get this: with Vista and IE I had some problems. Now with Vista and FF3 they are no more. I say go FF3. | |

| I fixed my FF loading problems by creating a new profile and migrating things over. The problem was with the user.js and/or prefs.js files in my old profile.
I read somewhere to install Flash 10 beta to help with crashing problems and so far so good but more time is needed to see about that.
